Berkeley Hills Earthen Dam Reconstruction

Berkeley hills is a community located in north east Georgia tasked with the replacement of an existing earthen dam on the property. The association, working with Ray Engineering, contracted SCA to complete the project. The dam was quite old with significantly rotten railroad ties, cracked concrete, and leakage occurring at the bottom. Ray engineering designed a detailed replacement place consisting of new gabion basket walls, sediment removal, and new asphalt to top it off. SCA got right to work installing a temporary diversion system for the live creek running through. Next up was stripping the area of old material and getting walls installed. Finally, pavement was topped off to finish and diversion measures were completed.
